Equipment Description

Working Principle

Solid-Liquid Separation Mechanism: A screen or microporous membrane (pore size 0.1-10μm) physically intercepts suspended solids, particulate matter, and some microorganisms, achieving separation through pore size differences.
Dynamic Filtration and Backwash: Sewage enters the drum where rotation generates centrifugal force to aid filtration. Equipped with an automatic backwash system using high-pressure water or air to maintain efficiency.
Adaptability: Can treat wastewater with 0.1-5% solids content, suitable for industries like papermaking, aquaculture, and printing/dyeing.

Typical Process Flow

Wastewater is pumped into the drum via an inlet pump
As the drum rotates, liquid flows through the filter screen while solids are retained
Backwash system activates when threshold is reached, using high-pressure water to remove residue
Filtered water enters next treatment unit or is directly reused

Main Structures and Components

Core Filtration Unit

Drum/Rotary Drum: Stainless steel frame (316L) forming drum-shaped structure with woven filter screen (stainless steel wire, chemical fiber, or polymer). Diameter 0.5-3 meters, adjustable speed (1-5 rpm).
Screen/Filter: Multi-layer structure with support screen (coarse) and working screen (fine), pore size 0.1-10 μm. Woven inverted trapezoidal cross-section resists clogging.

Drive and Transmission System

Drive Unit: Variable-frequency motor (0.75-15 kW) with ±1 rpm accuracy. Gear or chain drive ensures smooth operation.
Bracket and Support Structure: Welded I-beam or carbon steel brackets with rubber shock-absorbing pads.

Water Inlet and Outlet and Sewage System

Water Inlet System: Overflow weir distributor and axial inlet pipes ensure even distribution.
Water Outlet System: Filtered clean water discharged through radially radiating screens.
Sewage System: High-pressure nozzles (0.3-0.5 MPa) for backwash, scraper/slag chute to remove residual dirt.
